Louisa - Community Engagement Lead

About me

I was born in Belgium and lived in several different countries before moving to the UK in 2008. I moved here to attend the University of Sussex where I got an undergrad degree in Anthropology and Development Studies and went on to obtain a Masters degree in Global Health.

I’m a big believer in the mental and physical health benefits of being outdoors and interacting with animals. In my spare time, I volunteer for Windmill Hill City Farm’s Animal Care for Wellbeing programme and hope one day to set-up a similar programme here in North Somerset.

Why team JHF?

I really support the values that the JHF promotes and feel lucky to be part of such an amazing team! I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work with young people in the local community and enjoy going to work every day.

Things I love

Family (including my cat!) and friends, animals (especially goats), laughter, authenticity, food, nature walking, music, Clevedon…
