Jayne - Finance Officer
About me
I grew up in Chepstow and then Durham. I studied maths at Cardiff University and then joined KPMG to train as a chartered accountant. Soon after qualifying I decided that the corporate world wasn’t for me so I joined the NHS and over the years I’ve worked in many different finance roles in lots of different organisations. Four years ago I took the plunge and set up my own consultancy business. My husband and I live in Portishead and we have three grown up children who are just starting out on their adult journeys.
Why team JHF?
Although I absolutely loved running my own business, the long hours and travelling didn’t fit with my other commitments so I decided to look for a locally based job. I feel really lucky to have found the JHF, an amazing charity that has such a direct impact on young people’s lives.
Things I love
Although my children are grown up we still spend a lot of time together as a family either walking our beautiful cocker spaniel, Cody, playing tennis or drinking coffee! I also swim regularly and have recently started Pilates. I love water and the sun so during the summer we head to Europe, usually Italy or France
