About me

Hi, my name is Karen and I’m a tutor at the JHF.

I have been a classroom teacher in a local school for 32 years.

After early retirement in July 2025, I started working for the JHF.

Why team JHF

As a classroom teacher, I often wished that I could spend more time helping students on a more individual level. The JHF allows me to do that and really does have the student’s personal goals at the heart of all we do.

I love reading and love that I can share this love of reading with my students and my friends in our book club.

Reading on holiday is one of my favourite things!

 

Things I love

I enjoy Pilates, yoga and playing golf- all great for keeping my mind relaxed and calm.

I love spending time with my family and watching my sons and daughter play sport at the weekends.

I also love walking my dog- Ash (He has also been known to come on walks with my students when requested!)
