Alasdair - Trustee

About me

I’m a Head of Year at a Bristol Secondary School in one of the top 10% most deprived areas of the country and although challenging, I love my job. Working hard to ensure that my students have the best possible start and grow up to be well-rounded, kind and brave individuals is a real passion of mine.

Why team JHF?

I was a founding trustee all of those years ago! I wanted the challenge of supporting an organisation that could make a genuine change to people’s lives. Many years on and it’s far out-grown anything I thought it could be – and I love taking a back seat, watching all the fantastic people build something they’re passionate about.

Things I love

I have a wonderful family who I love very much. Cycling is my hobby since running and football stopped due to persistent ankle injuries and I love getting out on the road and of course stopping for coffee and cake! I also hope that Brighton and Hove Albion stay clear of the relegation zone this year.
